Excursion to Liège on 9th October 2010

The Forum Euregional Civic Involvement is organizing an excursion to the city of Liège themed "Liège: city and people" on the 9th October 2010.

Liège is a metropolis in the Walloon Region, an uprising city with a lively, well-organised cultural scene. This exceptional excursion offers the possibility to explore the city and to meet engaged people.

From 10am to 12 socio-cultural organizations will present themselves during an "Euregio-Café" in the MadMusée, including Creahm, c-paje, AIGS, Le Musée en Plein Air / La SPAC - Société Publique d´Art Contemporain, Arsenic, SMart be and Société libre d´Emulation.

Thereafter, from 12 to about 5:30pm the two architects Markus Ulrich and Joachim Schmidt (archigraphus) will guide through Liège. Before the returning train ride starts at 7:30pm, there will be about 2 hours of time for own explorations.

The Forum Euregional Civic Involvement is an open network for civic involvement in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine. The members work in different areas like health, social welfare, arts and culture, education and history, but also economy and labour. For the years 2009 and 2010 the improvement of contacts to the Walloon Regions is the main objective. Therefore this excursion is provided.
